Day 2, the mess hall, 3:30 PM
Where: Mess hall

When: 3:30

Who: All

He munched on the sandwich despite not really beng hungry. He was eating more because he knew better to let himself forget to eat. He sat on the table, swinging his legs. He didn't figure anyone would show up since it was an odd time between lunch and dinner to be eating. So he let himself get lost in his own thoughts.

Andrej opened the door to the mess hall as if making a grand entrance. Being with Noork was sort of like being with his older brothers when they were little... It was bringing out the little devil in him. "I'm starving! And we can't look for Captain Leroy on an empty stomach!" He nodded, and saw Teivel. "Why hello, Mr. Morningstar." He smiled.
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 28th, 2006 09:51 pm (UTC)
"Hey, no fair, how did you get here sooner then me?" Noork shouted as he darted through the door, pauzed and panted for a while, and looked up at Teivel. "I'm sorry Sir, i didn't know you were here."

"How are you doing today, sir?" Andrej was in a better mood now than he had been before.
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 28th, 2006 10:26 pm (UTC)
"Hello Sir. We were kind of looking for the captain, and we noticed you didn't mark his quoarters on the map anywhere."

Noork seemed to think for a momet and continued "Isn't there some way to know where people are at all times ? it's kind of hard to do anything if we have to look for them for hours on end.."

He walked to the table and started to make himself a sandwich "Do you want me to make you something too Andrej ?"

Andrej smiled a little. "That'd be great, Noork, thanks." At first he'd found Noork rather annoying, but he turned out to be a pretty good crewmate. "Not on the ship?" He frowned slightly. "But what about the launch? It seemed like there was something important for us to do."
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 12:49 am (UTC)
"I'm sure the captain has to take care of thing before we leave, cargo documents to be signedd, that sort of thing. It's a shame, but you're going to have to wait till he gets back before you can talk to him i guess."

Noork looked up from the toast he'd just put some butter on and smiled at Andrej "What would you like to have on your toast?"

"Peanut butter, if there is any." Andrej sat down at a table and rested his forehead on the cold steel. It was quite relaxing for him - he came from a rather cold climate and wasn't at all accustomed to hot weather. He decided he would sit out on Noork and Teivel's conversation; maybe he'd learn some things about the two of them.
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 09:00 pm (UTC)
Noork passed a peanut butter sandwich to Andrej and turned towards Teivel "About that, i came looking for the captain with andrej because i was kind of interested in hearing what is to be expected of me, if there are things that i need to be careful of while i'm serving on this ship, that sort of stuff."

Noork pauzed for a second while he made himself another sandwich and continued "But i'm sure you have more then a few questions to ask me first, i'll try to answer them the best i can."

Andrej chewed quietly as they talked. The peanut butter was making him thirsty... "Do we have any milk in the refrigerator?" he asked after swallowing.

[Okay, not a very profound post. But if every post had lots of deep meaning then our charas wouldn't be real people any more. ><]
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 09:31 pm (UTC)
Noork walked over to the refrigerator, looked around and said "Well, there's some chocolate milk if you'd like some.."

He turned towards teivel and continued "It doesn't look like you're very interested in what i do or don't do while i'm around here, but fine, i guess."

He shrugged, and asked "Would you like something to drink too ?"

"That'll be fine for me, Noork. Thanks." Andrej gave him a salute of thanks, taking another bite of the sandwich. "Mr. Morningstar, do you have any idea when Captain Leroy'll be back?"
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 09:52 pm (UTC)
"Here you go." Noork passed a glass over to Andrej.

"Seren, isn't it ? would you like a sandwich and something to drink ?" He asked.

As he looked at Teivel he spoke "And as i said before, can i get you anything ?"

"It looks that way, until we can pick up more crew members." Andrej replied to Seren. He took a sip from his glass of milk. "Unless Mr. Morningstar or Captain Leroy have other plans, of course."
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 10:20 pm (UTC)
"Here you go sir." Noork gave a glass to Teivel.

"And i'm sure we'll be fine, most things on the ship look like they are being run automatically allready right now. it might not work as well in a pinch, but we should be more then able to get this thing moving."

He looked intently at Andrej for a while, and continued "If i'm correct, most of our worries are going to be the maintainance of the machines that do the work for us."

"Anyway, are you sure you don't need anything ?"

As Andrej watched Teivel slosh the syrup into his drink, his nose wrinkled in disgust. Ew, that's enough chocolate to make anybody sick. He stretched, starting to feel a little stiff from not moving around.
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 30th, 2006 10:46 pm (UTC)
"Well, if everyone is forseen of drinks and snacks, i hope you will excuse me,. because i have to go find the nearest toilet."

Andrej nodded, he presumed that he could find his way around now. He munched quietly on his sandwich, not even half-finished with it since he was an extraordinarily slow eater. "Mr. Morningstar, how long have you been part of the crew?"
teivel_morning on July 30th, 2006 11:07 pm (UTC)
"Your quarters private computer can probably give you the basic informantion about the machinary." Teivel replied to Seren. He would have figured he'd act a little bit different after earlier, but Teivel had been wrong on predicting people before.

He glanced at Andrej and paused to think. "Well... I've been with the captain since he started working on this ship." He explained. He took another drink of his chocolate milk and hummed happily.

"Ooh. Do you have any interesting stories to tell us, Mr. Morningstar? And it should be neat to hear how the captain became the captain in the first place!" Andrej enjoyed hearing stories, probably from years of hanging on to every word said by his older brothers and father.
teivel_morning on July 31st, 2006 02:30 am (UTC)
Teivel focused his attention on Andrej since Seren feel quiet. "I have several interesting stories to tell. But if you want to know that particular one, ask the captain." He suddenly snorted. "I'm sure he'll tell you exactly what you want to hear."

andrej_milholanandrej_milholan on July 31st, 2006 02:49 am (UTC)
"Yes, that's right. And what if what we want to hear is different from what happened? It might be a good idea to hear the real version, I think." Andrej was more than accustomed to hearing stories from both ends of the spectrum.
teivel_morning on July 31st, 2006 02:58 am (UTC)
Teivel took a sip of his drink. "You'll ask the captain or you won't hear it all." He shrugged, but his expression was controlled. "As for stories I can tell you..." He thought for a moment.

"If you want to hear about the captain I can tell you about how much of an old perv he is." He gave a wicked smile. He could tell pointless amusing stories about the captain. That was easy. Talking about pasts wasn't.

Andrej couldn't help but smirk childishly. "No, not in the slightest, although they do sound terribly interesting." He looked like a plotting conspirator, most likely from years of blackmailing siblings after hearing embarrassing stories. However, he wasn't planning on doing anything of the sort with Captain Leroy, if only because he seemed worth Andrej's loyalty.
teivel_morning on July 31st, 2006 03:14 am (UTC)
... Teivel decided he'd just let the captain deal with whatever Andrej had planned going on in his head. Teivel had plenty of things to keep track of without adding a kid who looked like he was up to something.

"I don't see why I can't tell you. If it makes so the captain can't anyone to bed, it's absolutely no skin of my back." Actually, with the smile he gave when he said that it made it clear he actually liked that idea.

"And if you don't want to hear those stories... not sure what I can tell you, at least what I'm willing to tell you." He remarked to Andrej.

"So, what's there to tell about the bloke anyway?" Andrej asked, taking a sip of milk. "Stories like this are the best way to find out about a person, you can tell what they're like without their reservations."
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on July 31st, 2006 09:39 pm (UTC)
Noork walked back in the room, a bit flustered. "hat was..different."

He looked at teivel and said "Are the toilets on this ship supposed to work like that?"

Andrej didn't say anything, merely sipping his drink.

[I'm gonna have to pass this round, I can't think of a darned thing to say and I don't want to hold things up while I wrack my brain trying to come up with something.]
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on August 2nd, 2006 09:38 pm (UTC)
"Well, the toilets.. well, there was this tube, and it.." Noork stammered, and halted.
"nevermind, it's not important anyway." He blushed.

"Very funny, Seren." Andrej said in reply, and in Noork's defense. The two of them were becoming as thick as thieves, and Andrej was never the type to understand jokes as being playful. "If it's bothering him, then leave him alone about it."
noork_neffesnoork_neffes on August 5th, 2006 05:59 pm (UTC)
Noork smiled at Andrej and said "It's allright, though i guess Mr. morningstar is right, i'll just leave it at that."

"At any rate, do you have any idea when the captain will be back?" He said as he turned to Teivel.
leroy_brennus on August 6th, 2006 11:11 am (UTC)
Suddenly, a familiar voice sounded out over their heads on the intercom system.

"Hello, gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. All hands please proceed to the Bridge. We're officially ready to head out."
